 My Grandparents, Erika (Wagner) and Fritz Petereit on their wedding day, May 17,1941

The above picture is the only picture that we have of my Grandfather, he was serving in the Luftwaffe (German Airforce) and was KIA (killed in action) in November 1942.  His Luftwaffe Unit, the 9th Flak Division, was assisting the German 6th Army in Stalingrad, Russia.  He was one of the 147,000 men killed, or the 91,000 taken prisoner and later killed in the battle for Stalingrad.
